Entrepreneur Test - Are you a good toilet fisher?

Yesterday we talked with friends about being a freelancer, "entrepeneur" or what ever you call it, if you work on your own, and the customer is you boss, instead of the pointy haired monster at the time you have been at the Deutsche Telekom Group.

During this talk my creative brain came up with a parable about being a freelancer:

Fish in the toilet...
Looking for business opportunites is like fishing in the toilet.

You have to taste all pieces you find, and every time you can make a sale that is profitable it s a piece of chocolate. all the other times - also if you made a sale, but it wasn't a good deal - you get something that is not a chocolate - you know what I mean...

The ultimate truth
If you ever think about "Uuuh, I would like to wear rubber cloves" then is the right moment to get out of being independent.

... or build a shrine for your boss
At this very moment you should get a "real job" and build a little shrine with your bosses picture on your desk and at your home - and thank him every day for giving you the opportunity to have a living without making own decisions.

For 94.5% of us out there this is not a bad option. And if you are feeling things are running bad then you have your colleagues and the "funny" smalltalk where one employee tells the other employee "I am so pissed off the company and the boss... at the next chance I will leave this sinking ship". But you have said this sentence since 15 years, so everybody will smile...
