The executive jet with the tail number N44982 (the registration is no longer current; it was also formerly N8068V, N379P and originally N581GA) has been reported in several press sources as a U.S. Department of Defense prisoner transport, also known as "Guantánamo Bay Express". The craft has been reported to be a transporter of suspected terrorists to undisclosed locations for either extraordinary rendition or into the CIA prison system.
