Thomas Glynn has resigned from the Management Board of Hypo Real Estate Holding AG

Munich, 7 January 2009 – Within the context of the previously-announced restructuring of the Hypo Real Estate Group, Thomas Glynn (47) has resigned from the Management Board of Hypo Real Estate Holding AG, with effect from the year-end 2008.

Mr Glynn was responsible for Hypo Real Estate Group's Capital Markets and Asset Management businesses.

He will continue to work for the Group as an Executive Director of DEPFA BANK plc, Dublin.

Dr Kai Wilhelm Franzmeyer will assume Mr Glynn’s Group-wide
responsibilities within the Management Board of Hypo Real Estate Holding AG.
