Wikipedia nofollow boycott

Wikipedia gets alot (I mean everything) from its community. But since January 2007 the do not give back any more.

They have added an attribute to their outoing links named "nofollow".

It means simply that they profit if you put a link to wikipedia,
but you do not profit any more, becaus Search Engines ignor the link back to you.

THE TOOL TO EXPOSE IT
Use Firefox with the SEO for Firefox plugin.

http://tools.seobook.com/firefox/seo-for-firefox.html

You will see that all external links on Wikipedia are now red. As a test you can see in this blog post, that the link below to Wikipedia is now red (nofollow applied) If you right click them and click on Propterties you will see the reason - the "nofollow" attribute. As a tipp: Before you give a link to a blog site check with the SEO Firefox plugin if they have red links in the comments (means they dont share their Pagerank with you)

So lets get back to a fair balanced situation. Encourage every blogger you know to also put the "nofollow" to all links to Wikipedia.

NO DISCUSSION PLEASE
As expected, the usual Discussion page for the topic nofollow on wikipedia is closed.

THE WIKIPEDIA LINK BOYCOTT
"A boycott is the act of abstaining from using, buying, or dealing with someone or some other organization as an expression of protest or as a means of coercion."

Within the next days I will modify this drupal CMS to automatically add the nofollow tag to all domains which I put on the blacklist.
